Care Values

Care Values are very closely linked with the rights of individuals and legislation and are promoted in Health and Social Care to ensure the best possible quality of care is being received.  A value is the principle or standard of behaviour. In Health and Social Care standards and expectations are high. If the care values are not being met this could have disastrous effects on the physical, intellectual, emotional and social wellbeing and/or development of an individual.

There are 4 main Care Values

Maintaining Confidentiality

Promoting and Valuing Equality and Diversity

Promoting and Valuing Individual Rights and Beliefs

Being a Reflective Practitioner
